Steps

  1. Event time is cumulative elapsed match time. A saved event has no period reference. Convert a period or remaining clock before entering it, and leave time blank when unknown.
  2. Football uses configured periods and added time. For first-half added time enter 45+2, or Minute 45 with Stoppage 2. Seconds such as 35:24 remain exact.
  3. For futsal with two 20-minute halves, 10:15 remaining in the second half becomes 29:45 elapsed: 20:00 for the completed first half plus 9:45 played in the second. Enter 29:45, never the remaining clock 10:15. Futsal has no added-time field.
  4. Basketball quarters and overtime also need cumulative elapsed input: completed periods plus time played in the current period. Use your configured period lengths. Four 10-minute quarters with repeated overtime do not impose a 40-minute ceiling.
  5. A FIFA or EA Sports FC session half lasting six real minutes does not cap a virtual goal at minute six. Use the game’s virtual match clock; minute 38 is valid in a 90-minute virtual match.
  6. Untimed sports use structured results, such as padel sets. Do not invent football goals or minutes. Record only a supported event or the actual structured result.
  7. Unsupported legacy time stays visible and prevents Save. Correct it or use Clear time explicitly. Review the rules and official report, save in your own match, reopen, then check the timeline and public result.

Sport settings, players and scores in this lesson are visibly disclosed browser-only fictional examples. All demonstration entries remain unsaved.
