Steps

  1. Open your website's News section and choose an article. Check which language you are editing before changing translated text or media descriptions.
  2. Set the cover image using an uploaded picture, a new upload or an image address. Add cover alternative text that describes the useful information in the picture. The cover is separate from images in the article body.
  3. Place the cursor in the article body and choose Insert image. Choose a picture, add alternative text and an optional visible caption, then apply it at that position.
  4. Use an existing image's edit control to replace its address, description or caption. Check the text still describes the replacement. Remove an image with its remove control when it is no longer needed.
  5. Use the Video link field for YouTube, Vimeo or an HTTPS MP4 or WebM file. Paste the supported link rather than arbitrary embed code. Use media you have permission to publish.
  6. Open Preview and inspect phone and desktop widths. Check the cover, inline pictures, captions and video, then save the draft and publish when ready.

Alternative text helps people who cannot see the picture; a caption is visible to everyone. A sharing image for social links is another separate field. Unsupported or unsafe video links do not become arbitrary embedded HTML.
