How do I link an all-time scorer to a player's page?

Connect a historical scorer record on your website to the player's current profile with the optional Player page field.

Steps

  1. Sign in with your own account, open My websites and select your league website. It opens League Website. On the Site template card, choose Edit. All-time scorers is part of the template's history editor. Club websites use their own site editor.
  2. Scroll to All-time scorers. Each record has a player name, a goal count, the teams they played for and an optional photo. Choose Add a player for a new record, or edit an existing one.
  3. Open the player's current profile page on your website and copy its address. Paste it into Player page (optional). A link that contains /player/ followed by the player's ID works, and so does the ID on its own.
  4. Leave Player page empty when the player has no current profile. An empty field is valid; the record keeps the name, goals and teams you entered.
  5. Choose Save history. A team, competition or other non-player link is not accepted: the field asks you to paste a full player page link, or leave it empty, and nothing is saved until you fix it.
  6. After saving, the field shows the player's ID instead of the full link. That is the stored connection. The name, goals and teams stay as you typed them, so the historical record keeps its own identity.

Player page connects a historical record to a current profile; it does not change the player's profile, statistics or teams. The lesson was recorded with fictional records in an isolated recording environment, so it shows the editor's behavior rather than a real website's saved data. Check your public website after saving.
