Privacy Policy
Last updated 9 September 2026
This policy explains what personal data EasyChamp collects when you run or join competitions, use your club’s app, simulate matches, manage a national team, or place virtual-coin wagers. And how we use, share, and protect it.
1. Who we are
EasyChamp, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“EasyChamp”, “we”, “us”), operates the football competition platform at easychamp.com and its product surfaces. Leagues (organizer console), Club (the mobile app a club runs on), Sim (match simulator), Coach (national-team management), and the virtual-coin prediction game woven through them. EasyChamp, Inc. is the data controller for the personal data described below. For any privacy question, contact admin@easychamp.com.
2. Information we collect
Account & identity
Sign-in is handled by our identity provider (Keycloak). When you create or use an account we process your email address, display name / username, and the authentication tokens that keep you signed in. If you register with Google or Facebook, we receive the basic profile fields you approve at that provider.
Tournament & gameplay data
The competitions, teams, fixtures, standings, squads, and career progress you create or join, along with the choices you make in Sim and Coach. This is the content you use the product to produce.
Community content
The content you post in community spaces (chats, groups, circles, and feeds) along with any reports you file about other users’ content and the block list you maintain. We keep moderation records (what was reported, what action we took) to enforce our Terms of Service.
Payments
If virtual-coin purchases are enabled and offered, they are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number. Stripe handles card data as a PCI-DSS payment processor. We retain a record of the transaction (amount, coin pack, timestamp, and a Stripe reference) for accounting and support.
Device, usage & cookies
Basic technical data (IP address, browser type, pages viewed) needed to serve and secure the site, plus the small amount of local storage described in section 6.
3. How we use your data
- To provide the products. Run your competitions, sim your matches, manage your squad, and settle virtual-coin wagers.
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- Where the purchase gate is enabled, to process coin purchases and provide support.
- To operate, debug, and improve the platform.
- To moderate community content. Review reports (within 24 hours), remove objectionable content, and eject abusive users.
- To comply with legal obligations and prevent abuse or fraud.
4. Legal bases (GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the service you signed up for), legitimate interests (securing and improving the platform, preventing abuse), consent (where we ask for it, e.g. optional communications), and legal obligation (accounting, responding to lawful requests).
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with processors that run the platform on our behalf: our identity provider (Keycloak), Stripe for payments, and our hosting and infrastructure providers. Each is bound to use the data only to provide their service to us. We may also disclose data where required by law.
6. Cookies & local storage
We use essential storage to hold your sign-in session (so you stay logged in) and a small preference value that remembers your light/dark theme choice.
This website also runs analytics and advertising tags: Google Analytics, Google Ads, the Meta Pixel, Amplitude, and PostHog, which we route through our own easychamp.com endpoint rather than the vendor’s. Amplitude and PostHog also record session replays of how pages are used. If your browser’s time zone places you in the European Economic Area, you are asked first: no analytics or advertising cookies are set until you accept, and declining keeps them off. Elsewhere they are enabled by default, and the site does not currently offer its own opt-out. You can block them with your browser’s cookie and tracking controls, or email admin@easychamp.com and we will act on your request. Our mobile apps run none of these, as section 12 describes.
7. Data retention
We keep account and tournament data for as long as your account is active. Payment records are retained as long as required for accounting and tax. When you delete your account (see section 8) we remove your sign-in identity and the personal profile attached to it. Some records stay, and section 12 sets out which, along with anything we must keep to meet a legal obligation.
8. Account deletion
You can delete your account at any time from within the app: Profile → Delete account. Deleting your account removes your personal data from the platform, as described in section 7. If you have questions about deletion, or need help with it, contact admin@easychamp.com.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email admin@easychamp.com and we will respond within the timeframe the law requires. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
10. International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect it.
11. Age
EasyChamp is not intended for children. The virtual-coin betting features are restricted to users who are at least the age of majority in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone below the applicable minimum age.
12. The EasyChamp Club apps
Which apps this covers
This section covers the EasyChamp Club mobile app for iOS and Android, and the club-branded apps built from the same code: the Dade County FC app and the EasyChamp FC app. Club-branded apps are operated by EasyChamp under an agreement with the respective club’s rights holder. For the Dade County FC app, the club rights are held by The Player Lab and the club’s ownership, with technical operation by EasyChamp. EasyChamp is the data controller for personal data processed through any of these apps, and the rest of this policy applies to them as it does to the website.
What the apps collect
- Account and membership. Your email address and name, used to run your account and your membership of a club.
- Your content. The messages and attachments you send in club chat, the profile photo you choose, the tactical board scenes you draw, and the training session plans you write. This content is stored so that your club’s own features work, and it is visible to that club’s members and staff rather than to other clubs.
- Attendance. Your answers to attendance and RSVP requests for matches and training. Your own answer is visible to you and to the club’s coaches, admins and owner. Everyone invited sees the totals for a session, how many are going, not going, undecided or yet to answer, but not who answered what.
- Identifiers. Your EasyChamp user id, and a notification token for each device you sign in on, so that your club can send you matchday and training notifications.
Notifications
A notification token is created only if you have already allowed notifications at the operating-system level and you belong to a club. Signing out deletes the token from the device and deactivates the device registration on our servers, so your club can no longer send notifications to it. We retain the deactivated registration until you delete your account, which removes it. It does not expire on its own before then.
Your calendar
If you ask an app to add a fixture or a training session to your calendar, it writes that event to the calendar on your device. EasyChamp does not read your calendar and never receives its contents.
What the apps do not collect
The apps do not collect your precise location, your contacts, health data, browsing history, or financial data, and they do not use your camera. They contain no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no crash or performance reporting. The ordinary server-side logging described in section 2 still applies when an app talks to EasyChamp.
Payments
The apps contain no in-app purchase. Payment for club publication and for bookings happens on the web and is processed by Stripe, as described in section 2.
Tracking
We do not use data from these apps to track you across other companies’ apps or websites. Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with data brokers or advertising networks.
Deleting your account from an app
You delete your account from inside the app, under Profile → Delete account, in the Danger zone at the foot of your profile. The page at easychamp.com/account/delete sets out the same steps and gives an email route for anyone who can no longer sign in; the deletion itself runs from the app or from that request.
Deleting removes your sign-in identity, your profile with its name, email address, photo and phone number, your club memberships, and the device registrations for notifications. It does not erase the club’s own record of what happened: your past attendance and RSVP entries stay with the sessions they belong to, your competition registrations keep the name and email address you entered, the details on any club registration form you submitted (date of birth, address, emergency contact and guardian) stay with the club that collected them, and messages you posted stay in the club’s chat history. Those records stay associated with you; we do not anonymise them. We also keep a dated record that a deletion was requested, so that we can show it was honoured, and the published competition record stays as section 7 describes.
Children and youth clubs
As section 11 states, EasyChamp accounts are for adults, and competition registration in the apps is closed to anyone under 18. Where a club runs youth teams, the account belongs to a parent or guardian who acts for the child, and the club’s staff manage the child’s place in the squad. If you are a parent or guardian and you want to see, correct, or delete data about your child, email admin@easychamp.com and we will deal with you directly.
13. EasyChamp (general mobile app)
The EasyChamp app for iOS and Android lets you browse public football fixtures, results, lineups and player profiles without signing in. EasyChamp, Inc. operates this app. Its account and data practices are covered by this policy; the club-specific features in section 12 belong to the separate EasyChamp Club and club-branded apps.
If you sign in, we process your name, email address, EasyChamp user ID and authentication tokens to provide account access. Ordinary technical server logs, described in section 2, also apply when the app requests fixtures, images or account data. This release does not request notification permission or register push notification tokens.
No advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or performance-reporting SDK is active in this release. It does not collect your precise location, contacts, health or financial data. It does not capture or upload photos, video or audio. Player portraits are displayed from existing competition sources. Chat is unavailable in this release; the app does not send chat messages. Opening an external match-media link takes you to that provider, whose privacy policy applies there.
You can delete your account through Profile → Delete account. This removes your sign-in identity, personal profile, club memberships and any existing notification registrations. Competition and club records can remain as described in section 12 and on the account deletion page, which also provides an email route if you cannot sign in. We do not use this app to track you across other companies’ apps or websites, or sell its personal data. The current app has no subscription checkout or in-app purchases.
14. MatchCam (iOS app)
The MatchCam app records video and audio through your device's camera and microphone solely at your request, to film a match. Recordings are stored on your device and are never uploaded to EasyChamp servers by the app; you choose where files go (e.g. AirDrop to your own computer). Audio is captured only as part of the recording and to synchronize the two devices' footage. MatchCam collects no analytics, no identifiers and no personal data. The App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected”. Processing of footage (stitching, tracking, highlights) happens locally on hardware you control. If you film other people, you are responsible for complying with local recording and image-rights rules.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
16. Contact
Questions or requests about your data: admin@easychamp.com. We have not designated a Data Protection Officer, because we are not required to appoint one under Article 37 of the GDPR. That address reaches the people responsible for data protection at EasyChamp, and it is the route to use for every request described in section 9.
17. Governing law
EasyChamp, Inc. is a Delaware corporation, and this policy is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Where the GDPR or another data-protection law of your country of residence gives you rights that Delaware law does not, those rights still apply and this section does not limit them.
